Our Aim

Biomedicine (or Molecular Medicine) is a relatively young study program which offers an excellent education for a continually changing, dynamic profession. Our intent is to open the students’ eyes for the tremendously variable subject areas and the countless research opportunities that lie ahead of them – regardless of the individual student’s study experience.

The Program

The symposium’s structure this year reflects the multifaceted nature of biomedical research. During the morning sessions joined keynote lectures will be held: In each lecture, one renowned clinician together with an outstanding scientist from the same research field will demonstrate the strong connection between “bed-side and bench” and how serious medical problems can be tackled by experiments and molecular medicine. In the afternoon, the participants will get the unique opportunity to actively experience on-going research in workshops led by scientists of the University of Würzburg. We will offer a broad array of topics and hope to broaden the students’ view on their future research areas. This will also be a terrific chance to interact and connect with leading researchers in an informal and relaxed environment.

The evenings, of course, are reserved for networking and fun – wait and see! Exciting details will follow soon!

General Information
Attendance is free, but previous registration is necessary. Registration is possible until Oct 4th!

All events will either be in English or German depending on the speaker/organizer. You will know from the language of the event description on our registration site. English description means English event and vice versa.
